Hitachi Vantara, via its REAN Cloud team, delivered an Alexa‑powered solution to address these challenges.

Hitachi Vantara’s REAN Cloud implemented five Alexa "skills" (General Information, Patient Schedule, Log a Complaint, Patient Satisfaction, Note Taking) and integrated AWS services (Alexa, S3, Lambda, SNS, DynamoDB) to provide a multilingual‑aware, HIPAA‑compliant bedside concierge that captures patient input, triggers real‑time remedial alerts for negative feedback, and automates logging. The solution reduced routine staff inquiries, freed clinicians to focus on care, provided immediate customer feedback, and improved patient satisfaction and state survey response rates.
