Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium Maximizes Efficiency With Optimized Oracle Cloud Environment

Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium, a collaboration of Champlain, Middlebury and St. Michael's colleges, needed to reduce costs, increase efficiency and raise service levels by moving common administrative functions to a shared‑services model. To replace disparate legacy systems under Project Ensemble, the consortium engaged Hitachi Vantara to modernize its environment using Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP Financials, HCM and Payroll) and Hitachi Vantara’s ERP Modernization Services for Oracle.

Hitachi Vantara provided digital advisory and business process reimagine/redesign services and implemented a consolidated Oracle Cloud solution—deploying Finance, Procurement, HCM and Payroll modules, integrations, custom security, mobile self‑service and automated workflows—and executed a fully remote go‑live. As a result, Hitachi Vantara helped the consortium establish a single integrated platform that enables shared services for accounts payable, benefits and payroll, reduces duplication and administrative costs, decreases approval and processing times, improves data integrity and lowers total cost of ownership while providing greater scalability and ongoing Oracle updates.
