Generali China Life Insurance Simplifies Data Management and Compliance with Hitachi Content Platform

Generali China Life Insurance Co., Ltd, a major insurer handling large volumes of image-based records (policies, IDs, claims), faced fragmented, insecure content management: image data spread across multiple file systems, weak virus protection, frequent backup failures, no cross-site protection, and difficulties meeting compliance requirements. To address these issues, Generali China Life Insurance engaged Hitachi Vantara and adopted Hitachi Content Platform (including Hitachi Content Platform S Series and associated software and implementation services).

Hitachi Vantara built a centralized image platform and resource pool using Hitachi Content Platform, consolidating unstructured data with metadata-driven search, self-service operations, and active-active disaster recovery. As a result, customer-facing staff access image files six to 10 times faster, long-term data protection and cross-site recovery reduce the risk of data loss and cut time/costs of offsite backups, and compliance and future analytics capabilities have been simplified and strengthened.
