DenizBank, a financial services customer of Hitachi Vantara, needed to protect a fast-growing, customer-centric banking experience while keeping application performance high and storage easy to manage. As customer data volumes increased, the bank also wanted to simplify backups and long-term retention, replacing a tape-based process that used more than 1,200 tapes per year and made restores costly and time-consuming.

Hitachi Vantara implemented an active-active storage and data protection solution using Hitachi infrastructure, including Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform, Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Global Active Device (GAD), and Hitachi Universal Replicator (HUR), with professional services supporting migration and deployment. The result was improved application performance, simplified storage management and backups, greater scalability, lower energy and cooling needs, and zero data loss with minimal disruption during failover.
