FarmaMondo, a Switzerland-based healthcare and life sciences company distributing specialty and unlicensed medicines globally, needed to scale its central IT infrastructure to support 30–40% annual growth. With 80 users relying on SAP and VMware systems across multiple time zones, the company needed higher capacity, better performance, and 24/7 availability from aging storage that was nearing end of support.

Hitachi Vantara, working with partner Netability, migrated FarmaMondo’s VMware and SAP workloads from legacy storage to a Hitachi VSP One Block 24 array. The new platform improved application performance, sped up one SAP batch job from 20 minutes to six minutes, increased data center space efficiency by 3x, reduced energy use per TB, and enabled seamless scalability for future growth without downtime or disruption.
