DATEV Keeps Customer-Facing Systems Online 24/7 With Hitachi All-Flash Solution

DATEV, a Germany‑based cooperative providing software and IT services to tax consultants, auditors and lawyers with over 40,000 members, faced the challenge of keeping customer‑facing systems online 24/7 to meet stringent SLAs. To eliminate unplanned downtime and deliver transparent failover and higher performance, DATEV chose Hitachi Vantara’s all‑flash storage solution, centered on the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) G800 with Hitachi Accelerated Flash and Hitachi Storage Virtualization software.

Hitachi Vantara implemented two pairs of VSP G800 all‑flash arrays (900 TB total) in an active‑active, synchronous configuration using the global‑active device feature and provided implementation and support services.
