Data Matters Partners With Hitachi Vantara To Boost Competitive Advantage With Strongroom, a Cloud Vault for Content Archiving

Data Matters, a Netherlands- and Belgium-based IT services and cloud provider, needed a cost-effective, standards-based way to ensure customers’ digital records remain accessible and compliant for decades. To meet this OAIS-driven archiving challenge, Data Matters partnered with Hitachi Vantara and selected Hitachi Content Platform as the foundation for a new cloud content-archiving offering.

Working with Hitachi Vantara, Data Matters launched Strongroom—an ISO-certified, pay-as-you-go cloud archive that combines Hitachi Content Platform with SEAL for self-service access, metadata capture and long-term preservation. The solution currently houses about 250 TB of customer content and has attracted more than 400 customers since mid-2017, strengthening customer relationships, boosting competitive advantage and creating ongoing revenue opportunities while Hitachi Vantara and Data Matters continue to add features such as data intelligence.
