Czech Public Administration Body Improves Handling of Public Funds With Hitachi Unified Compute Platform for the SAP HANA Platform

Atos IT Solutions and Services operates a Czech public administration system serving 8.5 million citizens and needed a robust, scalable SAP HANA platform to handle rapidly growing transaction volumes, accelerate data processing, ensure stability and continuous availability, support advanced analytics and provide full redundancy. To meet these requirements, Atos selected Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Unified Compute Platform for the SAP HANA Platform (UCP for SAP HANA).

Hitachi Vantara deployed a certified converged UCP for SAP HANA — including Virtual Storage Platform G400, Compute Blade CB2500 chassis with CB520X/CB520H blades, two geographically separated environments for failover and SAP HANA cockpit adapters — delivering major performance and resilience gains. The solution cut response times to about 10% of previous values (budget updates dropped from 2–3 hours to 3–4 seconds), reduced processing time for a 400,000‑line bank statement to 10% of the former duration, achieved up to 70% database compression and enabled advanced analytics to improve public fund management.
