Knolskape, a workforce talent management company that builds immersive assessment and development solutions, needed to migrate its development, staging and production workloads from Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure to Amazon Web Services to improve availability, support 5,000 concurrent users and enable biweekly production upgrades with zero downtime. Knolskape engaged Cloud Migration Services from Hitachi Vantara for its DevOps and AWS migration expertise to deliver a secure, reliable and cost‑effective migration.

Hitachi Vantara designed an AWS deployment using an ECS cluster on AWS Spot Fleet (with 30% on‑demand capacity and a spot termination detection script), stateless services backed by ElastiCache for Redis, an AWS Aurora database, dual‑level autoscaling (service and Spot Fleet) and Terraform automation. The migration delivered zero‑downtime upgrades, auto infrastructure scaling, an out‑of‑the‑box monitoring dashboard and easier container management, achieving support for 5,000 concurrent users and 99.8% application availability.
