Chinese Retail Group Relies on Hitachi Unified Compute Platform for Move to High-Performance SAP HANA Computing

Zhengzhou Dennis Department Store Co., Ltd., a large Chinese retail group, needed to move its SAP ERP from traditional databases to the SAP HANA in‑memory platform to support rapid business growth, real‑time analytics, and stronger disaster recovery and scalability. To meet these needs, Zhengzhou Dennis selected Hitachi Vantara and implemented the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform for the SAP HANA Platform (UCP for SAP HANA).

Hitachi Vantara delivered a converged infrastructure using Hitachi Compute Blade 2000 and Hitachi Unified Storage 130, pre‑installed and optimized for SAP HANA, plus SAP HANA System Replication for disaster recovery. The deployment comprised two production stacks (ERP and BW) and a DR/standby stack, resulting in higher throughput, faster online business performance, simplified IT, reduced operation and maintenance costs, scalable memory (nodes upgradeable from 512 GB up to 4 TB) and rapid failover with an RTO of under 30 minutes.
