Celepar improves user experience in the State of Paraná with state-of-the-art Hitachi Infrastructure

Celepar, the Paraná Information and Communications Technology Company, needed to modernize an aging data center to support heavy Mainframe and RISC workloads, reduce physical footprint, and keep citizen-facing services online and secure. To meet those requirements they selected Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) F1500 with Hitachi Ops Center to provide enterprise-class, all‑flash storage and centralized management.

Hitachi Vantara consolidated more than 100 state servers onto the VSP F1500 and Ops Center, migrating 350 TB so far (part of a 500 TB target) into a single half-rack capable of exceeding 1 PB in operational volume. The non‑disruptive migration delivered faster response times, improved data security via encryption, reduced footprint and operating costs, and supported up to 400,000 IOPS; disk formatting took 30 minutes and the entire project finished in two months.
