The BMW Group partnered with Hitachi Vantara to modernize its storage‑on‑demand environment. Hitachi Vantara implemented a fully managed, large all‑flash SAN with VSP G1500, Hitachi flash modules, global‑active device for transparent failover, storage virtualization and a nondisruptive migration plan. The deployment reduced migration time by 30%, increased capacity and performance, cut physical footprint and energy/cooling costs, lowered software licensing and administration overhead, and delivers flexible capacity scaling and proactive monitoring under Hitachi Vantara’s managed services.
