A Hitachi Vantara Case Study
The Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) needed a low‑cost, scalable analytics platform to replace expensive per‑seat software, embed custom dashboards for members, support mobile access, and speed query turnaround for millions of data points in its MTInsight service. To meet these needs AMT selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho solutions—Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics—to organize, integrate and present industry data from multiple sources.
Hitachi Vantara implemented Pentaho Data Integration for ETL and Pentaho Business Analytics as the embedded dashboarding and reporting layer, hosted on AWS and extended for mobile use. As a result, AMT sharply reduced the time to integrate new data sources and query large data sets (thanks in part to caching), increased member productivity and insight through industry metrics and intuitive apps, lowered total cost of ownership, scaled the data warehouse quickly, and even drove higher trade‑show lead capture for some customers.
