AssetWorks Transforms Their Customer Experience Hitachi Vantara aids AssetWorks

AssetWorks, a technology provider of the AiM solution, faced a slow, labor-intensive proprietary BI tool (Actuate BIRT Studio) that required SQL knowledge and limited user access. To give a broader range of users—executives to nontechnical staff—intuitive, ad hoc dashboards and flexible deployment options, AssetWorks selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho software, specifically Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics, to embed into AiM IQ.

Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho suite was embedded to replace BIRT Studio, delivering easier data integration, visualization and self-service analytics that require minimal training and support both SaaS and on‑premises deployments. The Pentaho implementation improved peer-to-peer analysis and KPI measurement, enabled loading and instant analysis of Excel/Access data, sped up sales cycles for AssetWorks’ team and increased customer retention by letting clients extract more value from existing IT investments.
