Hitachi Vantara’s REAN Cloud modernized Sestra’s application using cloud‑native AWS IoT services, a lightweight MQTT agent (<1 MB) with a local device database, serverless ingestion and device provisioning, TLS security, and edge/offline support. The solution delivered sub‑second command latency, continuous remote visibility and per‑pour diagnostics, faster fault diagnosis and resolution, and a low‑cost, reusable architecture that scales as Sestra grows — enabling reliable operation even in low‑connectivity environments.
