888 Holdings Assures Top Performance for Online Gaming Customers

888 Holdings, a leading online betting and gaming company, needed to maintain top-tier customer satisfaction while meeting increasingly strict data protection regulations. With more than 40,000 concurrent users, the company required extremely low latency, high availability, and a way to keep pace with rapid data growth. To address these challenges, 888 Holdings turned to Hitachi Vantara and its flash storage and data protection technologies.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a 3-data-center solution built on Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform systems, including VSP 5100 and VSP G700 arrays, along with Hitachi Global-Active Device, Hitachi Universal Replicator, and Hitachi Ops Center Analyzer. The result was improved performance, low latency, high availability, and stronger data protection and compliance, including support for the required third copy of data. With Hitachi Vantara, 888 Holdings also gained greater scalability, better resiliency, and the ability to manage future growth.
