Boosting productivity by accelerating 3D modeling with Hitachi Vantara data storage

Anlagenbau Gmbh, specifically AWILA® Anlagenbau GmbH, needed a better way to manage and visualize growing volumes of engineering data as customer demand shifted toward more advanced 3D plant models. To support its digital transformation and new ERP, CAD, and CNC workloads, the company looked for a more powerful, scalable on-site storage platform from Hitachi Vantara.

Working with Hitachi Vantara and partner on/off IT-services GmbH, Anlagenbau Gmbh deployed two Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) G350 hybrid flash arrays and moved its virtual machines to Proxmox VE. The new setup improved redundancy and reliability while cutting CAD model load times by 30%, saving several minutes per model and helping teams access project information faster during customer meetings.
