HOPI Logistics, a logistics provider in Central and Eastern Europe, depends on SAP for mission-critical business processes across warehousing, transportation, and food production. To support 24/7 operations, the company needed a more reliable and higher-performing storage infrastructure for its SAP environment, and turned to Hitachi Vantara for a better fit.

Hitachi Vantara replaced HOPI Logistics’ legacy disk storage with two all-NVMe VSP One Block arrays configured in an active-active cluster with global-active device (GAD) technology and managed through Hitachi Ops Center. The new solution delivered 15 Gbps read and 4 Gbps write performance, restarted SAP databases 50% faster, enabled critical maintenance to be completed within 30 minutes, reduced rack space by 50% to just 2U, and cut storage capacity needs by about 17 TB.
