Aquiris, the operator of Belgium’s largest wastewater treatment plant near Brussels, needed a more resilient and efficient IT storage environment to support its 24/7, mission-critical water treatment operations. As its previous storage system neared end of life, the company sought a solution that could deliver high performance, scalability, and continuous availability; it selected Hitachi Vantara’s VSP One Block platform.

Hitachi Vantara implemented an all-flash Hitachi VSP One Block solution to replace the older hybrid arrays, with the former storage moved to a secondary site for backup. The new system delivers more than 30,000 IOPS and 4:1 data compression, improving performance, efficiency, and availability while helping Aquiris minimize risk, reduce capacity needs, and maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
