The City of Moreno Valley Boosts Public Safety, Traffic Effciencies and Situational Awareness With Hitachi Visualization

The City of Moreno Valley needed a way to improve public safety and traffic management despite budget cuts, while overcoming geographic, wireless, and connectivity challenges across a hilly, spread-out municipality. It partnered with Hitachi Data Systems, using Hitachi Visualization to build a community-wide camera system that could support police, traffic, and other city services.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a solution based on the Hitachi Visualization Platform and Hitachi Visualization Suite, integrating city, private, and emergency systems into a shared video ecosystem. The result was 275 cameras in use, over 800 incidents investigated in two years, faster emergency response, real-time traffic monitoring, and stronger situational awareness across the city.
