Raiffeisenbank Ensures Uninterrupted Services With Innovative Hitachi and Brocade Solution

AO Raiffeisenbank, a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG, needed to keep modernizing its Moscow-based banking IT as data volumes grew rapidly and its existing storage and SAN infrastructure neared capacity. The bank wanted continuous operations, easier administration, and a highly scalable environment to support expanding online services and customer demands. Hitachi Data Systems helped address this challenge with storage and virtualization solutions, including Hitachi Unified Storage and Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a joint solution with Brocade Gen 5 Fibre Channel SAN technology, creating a highly virtualized, redundant storage environment across three data centers. The phased rollout allowed uninterrupted service while consolidating resources and improving performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. As a result, AO Raiffeisenbank achieved significant resource consolidation, simplified management, and no downtime for critical services, while reducing IT workload and preparing for future growth.
