Islamic Bank of Thailand (IBank) faced rapidly escalating data growth as its branch network, customer base, and staff expanded, making it difficult to trace, back up, and quickly retrieve information across departments. To address these storage and business continuity challenges, the bank turned to Hitachi Data Systems and its Hitachi Unified Storage (HUS) 130 platform, along with Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented two HUS 130 systems, one in the data center and one in the disaster recovery center, to centralize storage, improve backup and recovery, and support the bank’s virtualization environment. The solution enabled backups every five minutes, improved data access, strengthened security and reliability, and provided the scalability IBank needed for future growth, all with high performance and cost-efficiency.
