Hitachi Technology Makes Backup and Statutory Archiving a Quietly Successful Operation for Tunisie Telecom

Tunisie Telecom, a major Tunisian telecom operator serving more than seven million customers, needed to strengthen regulatory compliance while handling rapidly growing backup and archiving demands. To improve its IT resilience, the company worked with Hitachi Data Systems and used Hitachi Content Platform and Hitachi Unified Storage for file and content management.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a high-availability archiving and backup solution with compression, deduplication, and mirrored storage at a second site to support business continuity. The result was a fourfold reduction in storage volume, faster and more automated operations, three-day staff training, and expanded backup capacity from 20TB to two times 100TB, helping Tunisie Telecom improve availability and ROI.
