High-Reliability Hitachi Storage Provides a Foundation for Innovative Financial Services at Alior Bank

Alior Bank S.A., a fast-growing Polish financial institution, needed to keep pace with rapid product innovation and 24/7 digital banking demands while modernizing its aging storage infrastructure. As customer growth and online services expanded, the bank required a reliable, high-availability platform to protect critical data and support applications such as online banking and credit processing, using Hitachi Data Systems storage solutions.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented Hitachi Unified Storage VM and Hitachi Unified Storage 130, with replication across two active data centers and management through Hitachi Command Suite. The result was 100% data availability with no storage failures over more than six years, plus about 60% storage savings from deduplication in the preproduction environment. The new platform also delivered strong performance for critical workloads and gave Alior Bank flexible capacity planning for future services.
