High-Performance Hitachi NAS Platform Helps Chinese Media Group to Simplify Data Management

Wasu Digital TV Media Group, a large Chinese new media and Internet culture company, needed to manage massive growth in its digital content library while improving access speed and simplifying operations. As its film and media resource system expanded to millions of hours of content, the company faced storage limits, management complexity, and performance bottlenecks. Wasu Digital TV Media Group turned to Hitachi Data Systems and its Hitachi NAS Platform and modular storage to support these demands.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a solution using the Hitachi NAS Platform 3090 and Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage 2500. The new system delivered cluster namespace management, improved high-performance access, and scalable capacity, including a 256TB file system and support for future growth up to 8PB. According to the case study, the solution simplified application design, reduced maintenance workload, improved concurrent access efficiency, and provided 99.999% availability.
