Foxtel, Australia’s leading digital television broadcaster, needed to overhaul its media asset management and storage infrastructure as it shifted from tape-based workflows to an all-digital content factory. With content consumption changing rapidly, Foxtel turned to Hitachi Data Systems to support the scale, agility, and performance required to deliver more channels and content across multiple devices.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a customized hybrid solution using Hitachi Unified Storage, Hitachi NAS Platform 3090, Hitachi Compute Rack 220, Hitachi Compute Blade 2000, and Hi-Track Remote Monitoring. The new platform exceeded performance expectations by over 75%, revitalized workflows, enabled a single “gold” copy of content for reuse, and gave Foxtel a scalable foundation for future services and growth.
