Onlanta, a Russian cloud-based computing provider, needed to upgrade a mixed-vendor storage environment to keep up with growing customer demand, improve flexibility, and meet SLAs without downtime. The company turned to **Hitachi Data Systems** for **Hitachi Unified Storage VM** and **Hitachi Accelerated Flash** to support its cloud services.

**Hitachi Data Systems** helped Onlanta add a scalable, virtualized storage layer without replacing all existing infrastructure, improving performance, reliability, and resource allocation. The results were significant: sequential read/write speeds rose from 1–1.2 GB/sec to 5–6 GB/sec, latency dropped from 8–10 ms to 1–2 ms, overall storage performance increased from 35,000 to 140,000 IOPS, and customers reported performance gains of 7–8x, with some operations running 10x faster.
