Cloud Storage Pool From Hitachi Data Systems Transforms Aokang’s Storage Silos Into Agile Storage

Aokang Group, one of China’s largest shoe designers and manufacturers, faced growing IT silos as its business expanded. Dispersed storage from multiple vendors made information sharing difficult, raised management and maintenance costs, and slowed core sales and financial systems. Aokang turned to Hitachi Data Systems for a cloud storage solution using Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform and Hitachi NAS Platform.

Hitachi Data Systems implemented a unified cloud storage pool with storage virtualization, data migration, and replication services to consolidate Aokang’s legacy systems. The result was a simpler, more agile storage environment with better performance and infrastructure reliability, and storage utilization improved from 30% to 60%.
