William Hill, part of evoke plc, needed to speed up screening for its retail roles across around 1,300 UK shops. With more than 30,000 applications a year and a process that could take over two weeks to move candidates to interview, the company was losing applicants and wanted to improve candidate quality, time-to-offer, and the overall hiring experience. William Hill worked with Hirevue to modernize this process.
Hirevue helped William Hill and AMS launch a technology-driven screening flow, including a games-based assessment built with Hirevue’s occupational psychology team. The assessment screened for role-relevant skills and let qualified candidates be booked for interview within 24 hours. As a result, time from application to scheduled interview fell from 15 days to 1.8 days, candidate satisfaction reached 9.3/10 with Hirevue and 9.5/10 with AMS, and hiring manager satisfaction averaged 8.8/10.
