Northwell Health, a large, complex health system with 60,000+ employees, one million annual applicants and 10,000 hires each year, faced candidate experience and branding challenges following a recent rebrand and while recruiting for 22 hospitals with distinct identities. The talent acquisition team needed to align hiring with organizational priorities (patient satisfaction, employee engagement, innovation and wellness), communicate a unified employer brand, and bring greater innovation and consistency to a high-volume, competitive healthcare hiring environment.
Northwell implemented Modern Hire’s on‑demand video interviewing to deliver a branded candidate experience, pre‑screen applicants and give hiring leaders flexible, anytime access to candidate assessments. The platform sped up and standardized hiring, helped identify top talent quickly (e.g., narrowing 500 internship candidates to a top 20), improved candidate fit evaluation and showcased Northwell’s innovation to candidates and executives.
