The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) supports nearly 300,000 students across 47 publicly supported HBCUs, has awarded more than $250 million in assistance, and runs a competitive Leadership Institute that selects roughly 400 students from about 1,500 applicants. Faced with a time‑consuming campus recruitment process and the limits of resume‑only screening, TMCF needed a way to level the playing field and surface students’ leadership potential, communication skills and life experiences beyond grades and CVs.

TMCF implemented HireVue’s Team Acceleration video interviewing to standardize and scale candidate assessment, enable mobile completion, and allow collaborative review and scoring. The platform also powers mock interviews to coach students for Fortune 500 interactions. The result: more efficient, fairer selection, better on‑campus time use, richer insight into candidates beyond a 4.0 GPA, positive partner feedback, and expanded use for scholarships and internal onboarding.
