The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank founded in 2016 that finances sustainable infrastructure across Asia and beyond. For Investment Analyst and Associate roles AIIB faced a high-volume, time-consuming recruitment process: over 2,000 applicants were CV-screened to 42 candidates who would traditionally face a 30–40 minute in-person panel interview with five interviewers, a process that took weeks and risked overlooking candidate potential beyond the CV.

AIIB implemented Modern Hire’s Automated Video Interviewing in early 2020, allowing stakeholders around the world to review interviews and finalize shortlists within one week (vs. 3–4 weeks previously). After watching 42 video interviews they invited only 15 to panels—saving 27 panel interviews—and reported a higher-quality shortlist, deeper panel assessments, greater hiring confidence, and a better candidate experience by giving applicants a chance to show their personality.
