Paragon Properties manages apartment communities across Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana and conducts background screenings on three to five new candidates weekly to ensure staff professionalism and resident safety. Their previous screening provider could take up to two weeks, causing lost hires, and the company also needed full checks for existing employees when taking on new management assignments.

Paragon switched to HireRight for role-based screening packages and integration with their Taleo ATS, enabling comprehensive checks (criminal, education, references, drug testing, physicals and credit for management). The new process reduced turnaround to about six days, provided real-time status reports in the HireRight dashboard, and improved hiring speed and resident safety.
