A leading multinational IT company with nearly 60,000 employees (about 22,000 outside North America) needed to expand hiring into more than 90 countries while applying a consistent, fair background screening program. The company faced wide legal, social and cultural differences across regions—such as limits on criminal checks or sensitivities around employment verification—and chose to partner with HireRight, an existing vendor in the U.S. and Canada, to tackle the complex global rollout.
HireRight spent 18 months designing a single, all-digital screening platform that centralized applications, questionnaires and digital signatures, provided rapid results adjudicated to corporate standards, and integrated with the company’s ADP VirtualEdge ATS via single sign-on. The solution improved data privacy and accuracy, sped hiring decisions, simplified training and scaling, and was credited with significantly boosting recruiter productivity and enabling the company’s global growth initiatives.
