Silverado Senior Living Boosts Resident Safety, Enhances Care with Spectralink® Wireless Solution

Silverado Senior Living, a provider of dementia and Alzheimer’s care across 21 communities, faced the challenge of ensuring swift, reliable staff communication to protect disoriented residents, reduce noisy walkie‑talkie use, and speed emergency response. To address these needs they paired Spectralink wireless telephony with HipLink Software’s notification capabilities, using HipLink Notification Software alongside Spectralink 8020 handsets and a Spectralink 8000 SVP server.

HipLink Software’s solution sends targeted alarm texts and voice notifications to caregivers’ Spectralink handsets so staff in the immediate area can acknowledge and respond quickly, call 911 directly, or contact family members from the handset. The Spectralink–HipLink deployment (including 30 Spectralink 8020 phones) improved resident safety, sped medical response, eliminated walkie‑talkie noise, and became Silverado’s standard for wireless communication. HipLink Software’s role in integrating alerts and paging was key to these outcomes.
