Case Study: Safelite Group achieves reliable, centralized 24/7 network alerting and escalation with HipLink Software

A HipLink Software Case Study

Preview of the Safelite Group Case Study

Safelite Group - Customer Case Study

Safelite Group, a national automotive glass and claims-management company employing nearly 6,000 people, depended on hundreds of B2B and point-of-sale applications monitored around the clock. Their monitoring tools (later Nagios) lacked reliable wireless notification, scheduling and escalation, leaving 17 technical support groups vulnerable to missed after-hours alerts; Safelite needed a centralized, foolproof messaging solution. They evaluated vendors and selected HipLink Software and its HipLink wireless messaging product.

HipLink Software integrated HipLink with Nagios to deliver escalated, scheduled alerts via email, dial-up and wireless messaging, assigning primary and secondary escalation for 80 receivers across 17 support groups. HipLink’s robust group scheduling, escalation and CLI enabled a custom front-end so individual teams retained control over on-call schedules while centralizing mission-critical notifications, greatly reducing the risk of missed alerts and ensuring timely response to network anomalies.
