The Government of Alberta, responsible for a wide network of servers, building security and environmental systems across the province, needed a modern, reliable paging and wireless messaging platform to consolidate inter-agency communications and notify technicians of network anomalies. Their legacy paging product was increasingly unreliable, unsupported and incompatible with current server OSes, so the Government of Alberta selected HipLink Software’s HipLinkXS Application Messaging to replace the aging system.

HipLink Software implemented HipLinkXS with a web-based GUI, LDAP integration, department-based distributed administration, automatic failover and a voice/text-to-speech module, enabling seamless integration with building security and monitoring systems. The solution consolidated communications across ministries, drastically reduced delivery delays by routing messages to backup carriers when needed, simplified deployment and administration, and became an integral part of the Government of Alberta’s alerting and network-monitoring operations.
