University of Cordoba Secures Its Campus Data Center with Hillstone intelligent NGFW

The University of Córdoba, one of Colombia’s leading public universities, needed stronger protection for its campus network and data center as it faced hackers, DDoS attacks, malware, and limited visibility with traditional firewalls. The IT team also needed better control of user traffic to protect critical systems, research data, and financial information while maintaining quality of service. Hillstone Networks provided the Hillstone T3860 intelligent next-generation firewall (iNGFW) to address these challenges.

Hillstone Networks deployed the T3860 iNGFW at the data center perimeter, delivering IPS, antivirus, URL filtering, QoS, and advanced threat capabilities such as ATD and ABD. The university gained application-based visibility, faster attack detection, and the ability to drill down into threats for analysis and response.
