Telconet Latam handles 200 Gbps CGNAT traffic with Hillstone

Telconet Latam, a major telecommunications service provider in Latin America, was challenged by IPv4 address depletion and the limitations of its legacy CGNAT solution, which could not handle increasing traffic loads. They needed a new, scalable solution to optimize IPv4 usage and support future growth. They evaluated three options, including Hillstone Networks' X-Series data center next-generation firewalls with integrated CGNAT capabilities.

Hillstone Networks implemented its X9180 next-generation firewalls in Telconet's data centers, which provided the required high-performance CGNAT functionality, scalability, and comprehensive logging. The solution offered superior total cost of ownership and included a Security Audit platform for log management. The deployed firewalls are currently processing 200 Gbps and 150 Gbps at two sites, providing significant room for growth and meeting all of the service provider's requirements efficiently.
