McDonald’s Macau’s IT team manages a data center supporting 30 restaurants across Macau and nearby cities, and needed stronger security plus better visibility into network traffic, applications, and users. With critical systems for HR, ordering, and supply chain management, the team wanted a solution that would protect employee access, reduce risk, and improve control over its network infrastructure. Hillstone Networks was selected to address these needs.

McDonald’s implemented Hillstone Networks Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) in its Macau data center. Hillstone Networks provided Layer 7 firewall protection, application and user-level visibility, policy-based controls, and QoS enforcement for mission-critical traffic. The result was better security, improved bandwidth usage, and granular visibility into application and user activity, with the team reporting that Hillstone Networks exceeded its requirements.
