Awell Health builds a new Pathway Studio in 2 weeks with Hike One

Awell Health, an e-health platform that helps healthcare providers digitize and manage patient treatment plans, sought to reinvent their initial proof-of-concept platform to better serve their expanding client base. They engaged the digital product design vendor Hike One to design an improved Pathway Studio that would reinvent how healthcare workers approach creating these plans.

Hike One co-created a new interface for the platform by adopting a lean approach, which involved early testing of mock-ups and the quick development of a working prototype for user validation. The solution combined free-form flow chart building with structured protocols and was supported by a new living design library with accessible, reusable components. This allowed Awell Health to quickly iterate and test future solutions, ultimately optimizing operational time for healthcare professionals and improving collaboration. The work also helped Awell Health mature its design process, leading them to hire their own designer to continue improving the product.
