American Society of Hematology launches Blood Advances in 2016 with HighWire Press

The American Society of Hematology (ASH), the world's largest professional society for hematologists, sought to expand its trusted publishing brand by launching its first new journal in 70 years, Blood Advances. Their challenge was to create a digital publication that would transform communication and increase engagement within the global hematology community. They partnered with their existing vendor, HighWire Press, to utilize its hosting services and JCore platform for this new venture.

HighWire Press implemented its innovative JCore platform to quickly deliver a multi-integration, multi-content site for the new journal. This solution provided ASH with the technology to serve as an incubator for testing novel communication formats and interactive content, successfully launching the Blood Advances journal to foster greater reader and author engagement.
