Case Study: University of Hull improves campus security and student access with HID Global mobile credentials

A HID Global Case Study

Preview of the University of Hull Case Study

University of Hull partnered with HID Global to increase security while improving their identity management process and the student experience at the same time

The University of Hull faced significant challenges managing physical access cards for its 25,000 students and 2,500 staff. Their outdated system was logistically demanding to maintain and caused frequent disruptions when cards were lost. To improve security and efficiency, the university partnered with HID Global to find a modern solution that would be easy for students to adopt.

HID Global implemented its iCLASS SE readers and HID Mobile Access solution, which allows students to use their smartphones instead of physical cards. This seamlessly integrated with the university's existing Genetec software, streamlining the credential management process. The results included increased security, higher user satisfaction, and a much more efficient system that also serves as a recruitment tool for the university.
