TPIRC Deploys HID Location Services to Address Care Continuity During COVID-19 Pandemic

TPIRC, the Translational Pulmonary and Immunology Research Center in Long Beach, California, needed a fast way to maintain continuity of care and protect staff and patients when COVID-19 disrupted operations. The non-profit research and clinical care center turned to HID Global and its HID Location Services for Workplace Safety, including HID BEEKs BLE badges, to help create a COVID-safe zone for ongoing testing and treatment.

HID Global implemented location tracking, contact tracing, and compliance monitoring through TPIRC’s Infectious Disease Awareness Platform. The solution gave staff automatic alerts, visibility into movement and interactions, and monitoring for decontamination, hand hygiene, and social distancing. As a result, TPIRC has supported more than 20,000 patient visits since the pandemic began while improving safety and real-time protection for employees and patients.
