Togo's, a fast casual sandwich shop with over 250 locations, faced challenges with fraud and loss prevention at their point-of-sale terminals due to shared employee passwords. They turned to HID Global to implement a biometric solution to securely track cash drawer access and time & attendance, aiming for single-drawer accountability.

HID Global implemented its DigitalPersona fingerprint readers to provide secure, biometric access to POS systems. The solution successfully increased security, improved accountability by ensuring only authorized employees could access drawers or authorize overrides, and reduced fraud. The results met Togo's expectations so thoroughly that they now plan to include biometrics in all future locations and POS upgrades.
