HID Global implemented an integrated, open-architecture ticketing solution using VAL100, VAL150, and TripTick 220 devices across the network, enabling multi-format validation and phased deployment with minimal disruption. The results included fare evasion falling from 3.1% in 2019 to 2.3% in 2023, millions in recovered revenue, and ferry validation rates rising from 58% in November 2021 to 89% in March 2025, while also improving the passenger experience and future-proofing the system.
