SEB Enables Multichannel In-branch Service Delivery with Unique Smart Card-Based Solution

SEB, a leading Nordic banking group, faced the challenge of modernizing its in-branch service delivery. They needed a secure, efficient system for employees to access shared kiosks and banking applications to serve clients, all while replacing a legacy system on a strict budget. They selected HID Global's Smart Employee ID solution, which included smart cards, the ActivID Card Management System, ActivClient, and SecureLogin Single Sign-On software.

HID Global implemented an end-to-end solution that provided strong authentication, fast user switching, and automated logins for 3,000 employees. This allowed SEB to create a more collaborative banking environment, improving customer service and employee productivity. The project was completed successfully within the required timeframe and budget, lowering the total cost of ownership by leveraging standard Windows components and replacing the old system.
