Real Estate Firm Portafolio Inmobiliario Takes Its Access Control to New Levels With HID Technology Case Study

Portafolio Inmobiliario, a leading real estate developer in Costa Rica with 14 locations, wanted to create a secure mobile access control experience for its projects. The company needed an app that would work on both Android and iOS, meet strict security requirements, and communicate smoothly with existing access readers, so it partnered with HID Global and used HID Mobile Access technology and SDK support.

HID Global helped Portafolio Inmobiliario build a custom mobile app and migrate to Signo 20 readers, enabling virtual credentials on users’ phones for door and parking access. The solution centralized access functions, removed the need for physical cards, and improved convenience and efficiency for tenants and visitors; the app is also planned for release on the AppStore and PlayStore, extending the impact of HID Global’s implementation.
