Norway Post selects HID Global to provide advanced access control technology solutions to their employees

Norway Post, a major Nordic postal and logistics company, required an advanced access control solution to enhance security and sustainability at its facilities, including the central Robsrud Terminal. Their challenge was to find a system that was interoperable with their existing infrastructure, supported multi-functional applications, and allowed for a seamless migration from legacy technologies. They turned to their long-time partner, HID Global, for this upgrade.

HID Global implemented a solution using their multiCLASS SE readers and multi-technology cards, which support standard iCLASS and HID Prox. This provided a durable, multi-functional card for secure access, time and attendance, canteen payments, and vehicle access. The results included significant cost savings, improved security, and seamless integration with Norway Post's existing systems, supporting approximately 18,000 active cards and 3,500 readers across 40 installations.
