The Ministry of Justice worked with HID Global on its “Electronic Marriage” project to modernize marriage registration and improve fingerprint-based documentation. The existing manual process was prone to data entry errors and security vulnerabilities, making marriage records and contract finalization difficult and less reliable.

HID Global helped implement a handheld fingerprint reader, the DigitalPersona 4500, connected to a tablet for capturing fingerprints and signatures electronically. The solution improved accuracy, availability, accessibility, and security, gave the Ministry full control of the process, and enabled faster documentation and email delivery of marriage certificates.
